When we commit to working on a project, something interesting happens after an (unspecified and unpredictable) amount of time.
10 songs later, we might find our new single, record an EP, or commit to an album.
30 blog posts later, a new idea, a new pathway or a new project forms, perhaps a book?
60 videos later, and we might make a web series, a short film or a documentary.
100 podcasts later, we get noticed, and a new job is offered, or a business is formed.
When we commit to doing our craft in an area of our interest, it's not about whether we feel like it or even knowing the reward at the end. It's about spending time on what matters to us most.
Perhaps it's helpful to remind ourselves that the notion of "something interesting happening", whether in the moment or down the road, is both 'enough' and 'the point'.
