#3 - A Case for Creating Daily

“We get to dance with more options than most, to try out new combinations; every day is an exploration.”

Is it work to create?
Is it creative to work?
Can play be a form of rest?
Can rest be a form of play?

When you're seeking a career in the creative industries, regardless of pursuit, the lines between all your life's activities blur. Weekly, daily. In the moment.

This blur is both an opportunity and a risk. We get to dance with more options than most, to try out new combinations; every day is an exploration.

But I don't have to tell you about the risks; you likely know them all too well.

When the risks take hold; whether it be burnout, lack of clarity or direction or imbalance across your resources of time, energy, money and emotional capacity, what's most important to you is the first to stop.

Something daily, one thing that matters to you, malleable in size and scope, with low stakes but a high intrinsic reward, that's worth committing to; it's likely been burning a hole in your to-do list for months or maybe years.

For me, for now, it's this blog. Something creative, something daily. Something simple, something written. A little bit for me, a little bit for you.

For 30 days, to see what unfolds.

Perhaps creativity can be work, rest & play?
